MARYVILLE, Mo. – Drury tennis dropped men's and women's matches to Northwest Missouri State on Sunday afternoon on the road.
MEN'S MATCH – Northwest Missouri State 5, No. 44 Drury 2
- The Bearcats took an early lead after winning the second and third lines of doubles.
- The top Drury line of Chuy Gonzalez and Tristan Stock won 6-4.
- Gonzalez and Stock stayed hot into singles play. Chuy Gonzalez won the top singles line 6-4 and 6-2. Tristan Stock also won in straight sets on the third singles line.
- Northwest Missouri took the rest of the singles points. The only other Panther to win a set was Gustavo Oliveira on the fifth line; he won the first set 6-4 before dropping the final two.
WOMEN'S MATCH – Northwest Missouri State 7, Drury 0
- Drury's top singles line of Naz Yaver and Antanina Novik won their match 6-4 before the rest of the Panthers doubles teams were unable to take their matches.
- Northwest Missouri State took every set of singles play.
- The Panthers have now dropped four straight matches.
