KANSAS CITY –The Drury volleyball Panthers fell 3-1 to GLVC West Division leader and No. 9 Rockhurst here on Friday.

Drury moves to 13-4 overall and 5-3 in the GLVC and Rockhurst improved to 17-1 overall and remains unbeaten in GLVC play at 8-0.

The Hawks claimed the match win by scores of 25-18, 25-14, 12-25 and 25-21.

BJ Specht led DU with 15 kills, McKenna Poynter had a team high 22 digs and Brooke Antenen had 34 assists.  For the Hawks Katie Loescher hit .524 and had a team-high 12 kills who finished with 49 kills while Drury had 45.  Both teams struggled at the net with Rockhurst hitting only .200 and Drury hitting .106.

The Drury Volleyball Panthers will continue GLVC road play at William Jewell on Saturday with match time set for 3 p.m.
