ST. LOUIS – The Drury volleyball Panthers earned a key 3-1 GLVC road victory at Maryville on Friday and with the win have now qualified for the eight team Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament.
Drury improves to 21-9 overall and 11-6 in the GLVC and Maryville falls to 12-18 overall and 4-13 in the GLVC.
Drury downed the Saints to claim the match win by scores of 25-13, 18-25, 25-17 and 25-14.
Drury was led by
Brooke Antenen who posted a team-best 15 kills and hit .333 with 32 assists and eight digs.
Laynie Timmons hit a team high .480 with 13 kills and just one error on 25 attacks. BJ Spect also notched double figure kills with 12 and added eight digs.
McKenna Poynter had a team-high 23 digs.
Maryville was led by Laura Welling who had 13 kills.
Drury will continue GLVC road play at Missouri-St. Louis tomorrow at 1 p.m.
