McKendree Earns 3-0 Sweep Over DU Volleyball Saturday

LEBANON, Ill. – McKendree earned a 3-0 GLVC sweep over the Drury Volleyball Panthers here on Saturday.

Drury goes to 19-9 overall and 9-6 in the GLVC and McKendree improved to 19-9 overall and 13-2 in the GLVC.

McKendree earned the sweep by winning scores of 28-26, 25-22 and 25-17.

Laynie Timmons paced the Panthers with a team-high 11 kills and hit .421 with Brooke Antenen adding eight kills and 15 assists.  McKenna Poynter had a team-high 12 digs.

The Bearcats hit .318 for the match and were led by Arela Williams who had 16 kills and hit .520 with just three errors on 25 attacks.

Drury will host Missouri S&T on Tuesday at O'Reilly Family Event Center at 7 p.m.
