Volleyball Panthers Hit 20-Victory Mark With 3-0 Blanking Of S&T In Home Finale

Drury reached the 20-victory mark for just the second time in the program's 21-year NCAA-II history - and first since 2010 - with a 3-0 blanking of Missouri Science & Technology in a Great Lakes Valley Conference matchup Tuesday night at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.

Coach Jenifer Bahner's Panthers won by scores of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-19 in their home finale to push their records to 20-9 overall and 10-6 in the GLVC, moving to within a game of West second-place S&T (20-10, 11-5).

Drury hit a season-high .393 for the match, led by 15 kills from Brooke Antenen and 11 by freshman Bentley Mara. Antenen also led the Panthers with 32 assists and tied McKenna Poynter for the team lead with 12 digs, while BJ Specht added 11 digs and eight kills (on a .400 attack percentage). Chloe Foster had four blocks to pace DU.

Krista Haslag had 12 kills to lead S&T, which had defeated the Panthers 3-1 in Rolla on October 6.

DU's final 10-1 mark at home this season was also the program's best since moving to the NCAA-II level in 1994. The Panthers are now 36-20 in two seasons under Bahner, including 28-12 over their past 40 matches.

Drury needs a split of its final two regular-season matches this weekendin St. Louis -  at Maryville on Friday and UMSL on Saturday to clinch a GLVC Championship post-season tourney berth for the first time since 2012.
