ST. LOUIS -
Dallas Williams' two-run homer ignited a Drury rally for a 5-4 victory over UMSL in Sunday's opener and a split of the day's Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader between the Panthers and the Tritons.
UMSL posted a 10-6 victory in Sunday's finale to claim three of four games in the series, as the Tritons improved to 15-8 overall and 10-8 in the GLVC.

Williams' two-run blast in the fifth helped the Panthers charge back from a 4-1 deficit in Sunday's opener. Drury scored two in the fifth and two in the sixth - the latter highlighted by pinch-hitter
Conner Wilson's RBI single - to go on top 5-4, and
Gage Jacobs finished off the Tritons in the seven-inning contest for his team-leading eighth save.Â
Ryan Colombo (3-1) was the winner for DU, allowing eight hits and four runs over five innings of work before Jacobs finished up with two shutout innings of relief, allowing just two hits.
Williams went 4-for-4 with two RBIs to lead the Drury attack in the opener as the Panthers matched the Tritons with 10 hits.
Luke Tewes got the Panthers on the board for a 1-0 lead in the first with an RBI double.
In the series finale, Williams went 3-for-5 with a run scored from his leadoff spot - capping a 7-for-9 day at the plate - but it wasn't enough as the Tritons broke open a tie (1-1) game with a five-run fourth inning off DU starter
Luke Burnidge (2-3).Â
Drury cut the deficit to 6-3 in the fifth after a two-run homer from
Christian Magno - who went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and three driven in - but UMSL countered with three runs over the next two frames and went on to claim the victory.
Justin Busekrus had two hits, scored three runs and drove in four to lead the Tritons, who outhit the Panthers 13-11.Â
Michael Pfeifer had a solo homer in the eighth for Drury.Â
The Panthers will play host to Central Missouri (19-14) in a pair of seven-inning, non-conference games at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Meador Park. Drury will continue the homestand by entertaining Truman State in a four-game GLVC series starting at 5 p.m. Friday at Meador, with a doubleheader Saturday (1 p.m.) and single nine-inning game on Sunday (noon).
