The No. 38 Drury men's tennis team downed Newman University 7-2 at Cooper Tennis Complex Friday.

Drury improved to 5-1 and Newman is now 2-1 on the season.

Doubles saw Newman take a win at the No. 1 spot by a score of 8-3 score with the Panthers take both No. 2 and No. 3 by scores of 8-5.

Singles had DU taking matches No. 2 -6 with Newman winning 7-5, 6-1 at No. 1. 

Drury will host Lewis University in a non-conference match at Cooper Tennis Complex on Sunday at 10:15 a.m.
