LOUISVILLE, Ky.– Drury senior and Ozark High School product
John Oss won both of his matches on Saturday in Great Lakes Valley Conference duals at Bellarmine in Louisville, Kentucky.
In their second set of GLVC duals this season, the Panthers fell to 13th ranked Indianapolis 34-6 and to host Bellarmine 28-14.
Oss, competing at 184 pounds, won both of his matches as he picked up a 5-4 win over Brody Conner of Indianapolis, then followed that with a win by technical fall, 19-3, against Brett Bryant of Bellarmine. Oss improved to 12-6 on the season in the 184-pound weight class.
Grant Taylor also won his match against Indianapolis. Taylor, in the 165-pound class, defeated J.D. Waters 3-1.
Drury won three matches in their loss to Bellarmine. In addition to Oss' win,
Jacob Brune at 174 pounds defeated Ci'Vaughn Green 3-0, and heavyweight
Ben Melton won by fall over Daniel Sheridan in just 92 seconds.
The losses dropped Drury's record to 1-8 and 0-4 in the GLVC. Indianapolis improved to 8-7 and 3-1 in the conference while Bellarmine moved their record to 3-7 and 2-2 in the league.
Drury is at home on Wednesday in a non-conference dual against Baker University. The match starts at 7 p.m. in Weiser Gym.
