ST LOUIS, Mo. – The 18^th-ranked Drury men's tennis team defeated UMSL 5-1 in a GLVC victory Saturday at the UMSL Tennis Courts.

Drury improved to 12-3 overall and 2-0 in the GLVC while UMSL fell to 6-3 overall and 0-1 in the league.

The Panthers earned wins in two of the three doubles matches, posting 9-8 and 8-6 wins at the top two spots in the lineup.   The Tritons stayed close by edging out the Panthers for a 9-8 win at No. 3.

In singles, Drury just needed three wins to claim the match and got those from Sebastien Amato (7-5, 5-7, 3-3) in a default win, Augustin Diot who won in a 6-3, 6-1 performance, and Lukas Stierling who pounded Alberto Maza 6-2, 6-2.

Drury will host William Jewell in a GLVC match on April 6 at Cooper Tennis Complex.  First serve is set for 2 p.m.
