21st ranked Drury opens GLVC tournament on Friday vs. McKendree

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drury men's tennis team opens play in the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament in the quarterfinal round against McKendree on Friday at 9 a.m. at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
 
The Panthers are ranked 21st in this week's ITA/NCAA-II poll and are 15-3 overall. Drury went 6-0 to win the West Division of the GLVC during the regular season and are currently ranked second in the Midwest Region.
 
McKendree is the fourth seed out of the GLVC-East and went 5-10 and 2-3 in the GLVC during the regular season.
 
Each of the GLVC men's quarterfinals match-ups start at 9 a.m. at the Cooper Tennis Complex. Other match-ups include #12 Indianapolis (19-2, 5-0) vs. Rockhurst (14-6, 3-2), University of Missouri-St. Louis (12-3, 5-1) vs. Southern Indiana (6-7, 3-2), and Lewis (10-9, 4-1) vs. Maryville (6-7, 3-2).
 
The semifinals of the tournament start at 9 a.m. on Saturday with the championship scheduled for Sunday at 9 a.m.
 
Drury has won the GLVC tournament seven times in 11 years.
