SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– The 20th ranked Drury men's tennis team swept William Jewell 9-0 on Friday at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
 
The Panthers improved to 13-3 and 3-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference while the Cardinals fell to 2-16 and 0-4 in the league.
 
Drury's doubles team of Augustin Diot and Paul Porcher blanked Thiago Braga and Hayden Fulk 8-0, and the Panthers got an 8-1 win from Leonardo Cerri and Luis Velasquez over Brian Wohlers and Marco Martinez.
 
Nico Hadaeler, playing in Drury's lead singles position, got a 7-5, 6-1 win over Bjorn Myers. Velasquez gave DU another point by outlasting Wohlers in a three-set marathon 6-2, 5-7, 14-12.
 
The win is Drury's 74th consecutive win in the GLVC regular season. The Panthers have never lost in the league's regular season since joining in the conference in 2006.  
 
Drury is home on Saturday for Senior Day as they host Rockhurst. The men's and women's matches start at 1 p.m. on the indoor courts of the Cooper Tennis Complex.
