SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- The Drury women's swimming & diving team won 10 of 11 swimming events in Thursday's 'Duel in the Pool' to pick up a 136-105 win over Missouri State at the Breech Pool on the Drury University campus. The Missouri State men's team, meanwhile, earned a 169-65 win over the Panthers.

Women's Highlights
The Panthers got off to a quick start with a one-two finish in the 200 Medley Relay. Drury's top squad with
Laura Pareja,
Bailee Nunn, Tori Sopp, and
Mackenzie Wieberg finished with a time of 1:45.08 while the Panthers second team comprised of
Ellie Shell,
Madeline Nelson,
Lyndsey Baker, and
Caytee Wright came in second (1:48.96).

Allison Weber won the 1000 Free by nearly 16 seconds finishing with a time of 10:04.31, and then returned to win the 500 Free in 4:59.48. Tori Sopp also won two individual events taking the 200 Individual Medley (2:04.82) and the 100 Fly (56.49).
Yasmin Preusse won the 50 Free (23.48) and the 100 Free (51.75).
Laura Pareja and
Bailee Nunn also had first-place finishes as Pareja took the 100 Back (56.15) and Nunn won the 100 Breast (1:03.75).

The Panthers ended the night with a win in the 200 Free Relay as Preusse, Pareja, Wieberg, and Abby Lunzmann finished with a time of 1:36.56 to defeat Missouri State's top squad by 1.32 seconds.

Drury had eight second-place finishes in their loss to the Bears on Thursday.

Senior
Young Tae Seo came in second three times as he was part of Drury's 200 Medley Relay team, and he finished second in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 1:52.49, and the 100 Breastroke (56.12).
Aitor Martinez was edged by one-tenth of a second in the 100 Free as he posted a time of 46.29. He also had a second-place time in the 200 Free with a time of 1:42.47.
Pavel Semochkin also lost by a fraction of a second as he put up a time of 48.42 in the 100 Fly and came in 0.39 away from the winning time. Kham Glass was also a runner-up in the 100 Back posting a time of 51.87.

The Panthers 200 Free Relay team was edged by the Bears as Glass, Martinez, Semochkin, and
Caleb Carlson fell by just 0.22 seconds as they completed the event in 1:23.71.

The Drury men's and women's teams were scheduled to host Missouri in duals on Friday, but the event has been canceled due to the threat of winter weather in the Columbia area that is preventing the Tigers from traveling to Springfield. The Panthers are scheduled to compete next in the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship Feb. 6-9 in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
