Drury wrestling signs Lebanon's Trevor Christian and Caden Howard out of Olathe Northwest

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Drury University head wrestling coach James Reynolds has announced his program has signed a pair of wrestlers for the 2020-21 season. Trevor Christian from Lebanon, Missouri, and Caden Howard out of Lenexa, Kansas, have both signed letters of intent to compete for the Panthers next year.
 
Trevor Christian sports a career record of 144-16 through his junior season for the Lebanon Yellowjackets. He has placed three times in the Missouri state championships placing fifth as a freshman, second as a sophomore, and then third his junior year. Christian is also a three-time district and Ozark Conference champion and has been named the Ozark Conference Wrestler of the Year. During the off-season, Trevor became an NHSCA High School All-American as a sophomore and is a two-time Missouri Freestyle State Champion. Christian also wrestled on the Missouri National Team for duals and in Fargo, North Dakota. Off the mat, Trevor maintains a 3.95-grade point average and is a member of the National Honor Society while also being recognized as a three-time All-State and All-Conference Academic selection.
 
Caden Howard wrestles for Olathe Northwest High School and is currently a two-time Kansas state placer, finishing second as a junior in 2019 and was fourth as a sophomore in 2018 for the Ravens. Caden was dubbed the 2019 Sunflower League Wrestler of the Year and has been a team captain for Olathe Northwest for the past three seasons. Howard has also excelled in the classroom with a 3.93 GPA and as a member of the National Honor Society.
 
 "Caden and Trevor are two great leaders for their perspective programs, and I know they will be incredible teammates at Drury," said head coach James Reynolds. "I am excited for both of them and am happy they decided to pursue their academic and athletic careers at Drury."
 
 The Drury wrestling program is in its fourth year of intercollegiate competition. The Panthers are scheduled to compete again on Saturday in the Lindenwood Open.
