SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- The 23rd ranked Drury Panthers improved to a 9-4 and 2-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 6-1 win over the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.

The Panthers won all three doubles matches with the team of
Nico Hadeler and Gregor Kokalj defeating Vitor Monteiro and Ben-Hur Kasprzak 6-0. Drury then won five of the six points in singles competition.

Hadeler got through his first set against Kasprzak 7-5 before closing out his round with a 6-1 second set.
Lukas Stierling, competing at number five singles, battled to a 6-4, 6-4 win over Karl Heinrichs. Kokalj also closed out his opponent with a 6-1 second set after winning the first 6-3 against Adrian Lessing.

The Tritons fell to 9-4 and 1-1 in the GLVC.

The win for Drury is their 79th straight victory in regular season conference play. They have not lost a league regular season match since they joined the GLVC in 2006.

The Panthers return to the court on Friday with a road match at William Jewell starting at 2 pm.
