GREENWOOD, Ind.- 24th ranked Indianapolis swept Drury 4-0 to win the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament championship on Sunday at Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Indiana.

The Panthers dropped to 15-5 while Indianapolis also went to 15-5 after winning 4-0 for a third straight time in the tournament.

Drury may have been shut out, but they nearly took a 1-0 lead into singles play as all three doubles matches were decided by two games. Drury's top doubles team of
Nico Hadeler and Gregor Kokali, and their number two squad of
Augustin Diot and
Paul Porcher both had their match-ups go to an extra game, but Indianapolis won both 7-5.
Leonardo Cerri and
Lukas Stierling also narrowly lost in a 6-4 defeat against Nils Hoffacker and Max Whitthaus.

The Greyhounds took momentum into singles and got straight-set wins from Dario Huber (6-3, 6-1) over Gregor Kokalj, and Nils Hoffacker against
Augustin Diot 6-1, 6-3. Indianapolis clinched the win with Ariel Farji's 6-2, 6-3 win against
Lukas Stierling.

Drury was playing in the championship game for the third straight year.

The Panthers will now wait for a possible at-large bid to the NCAA-II tournament. Drury entered the postseason ranked third in the Midwest Region, and eight teams will be selected to advance. Regional play in the NCAA-II tournament starts on May 11.Â
