LIBERTY, Mo.- The 23rd ranked Drury Panthers swept William Jewell with a 7-0 win on Friday in Liberty, Missouri. Drury improved to 10-4 and 3-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference while dropping the Cardinals to 2-16 and 0-3 in the league.

The Panthers took a 1-0 lead after doubles play as they won all three matches. Two of the three were close, however, as
Paul Porcher and
Augustin Diot won 7-5 over Athlos Brocker and Pedro Braga while Gregor Kokalj and
Nico Hadeler edged Cutter Sanders and Bjorn Myers 6-4.

In singles, Hadeler had to go to a third set tie-breaker to prevail over Myers 5-7, 6-4, 10-3. Drury won the other five singles matches in straight sets, and
Leonardo Cerri won each game in a 6-0, 6-0 win over Jack Ledbetter.

The win was Drury's 80th straight conference win in the regular season, and they remain unbeaten in regular season league play since joining the GLVC in 2006.
