ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla.—Fifth-ranked South Carolina-Aiken ended Drury's season with a 4-1 win over the Panthers in the third round of the NCAA-II tournament at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida on Tuesday.
 
Drury ends their season with a 17-6 record while the Pacers advance to the national quarterfinals with a 19-3 mark.
 
USC-Aiken took a 1-0 lead after doubles play but had to rally for their early lead. Nico Hadeler and Gregor Kokalj had a 5-1 lead over Antonio Sabuguiero and Salvador Bandeira only to have the Pacers duo come from behind for a  7-5 victory. The other two doubles matches were decided in a tie-breaker as the Panthers won with Augustin Diot and Paul Porcher defeating Vicente Andrades and Tales Silva 7-6 (7-5), but USC-Aiken took the doubles point with Alex Sklizovic and Francesco Satta battling past Leonardo Cerri and Lukas Stierling 7-6 (7-2).
 
Drury took a point in singles play as Leonardo Cerri bounced back from a 6-1 loss in the first set to defeat Francesco Satta taking the final two sets 6-0 and 6-2. Cerri won all three of his singles matches during this year's NCAA-II tournament.
 
The Pacers took three other singles matches, however, to clinch their 4-1 win. Alvaro Garcia defeated Lukas Stierling 6-2, 6-1 while Vicente Andrades picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win over Paul Porcher. Salvador Bandeira earned a 6-4, 6-3 win over Augustin Diot as USC-A closed out the match.
 
Drury was playing in the NCAA-II tournament for the 22nd straight year and was in the round of 16 for the fifth time in the last six years.
