SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– The Drury women's tennis received an at-large bid to the NCAA-II tournament and will play Northwood (Mich.) on Monday, May 13 at 10 am (Central) in Indianapolis, Ind. in the opening round. The Panthers are seeded fourth with a 14-4 record and will face a Timberwolves squad that is 13-9 and seeded fifth.
The winner of Monday's match will advance to the second round to take on number one seed Indianapolis (21-0) on Tuesday at 10 am. The Greyhounds are the host of the regional tournament and received an opening-round bye.
The team that advances on Tuesday will head to the NCAA-II tournament's final site at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida May 22-25.
Drury will be playing in the NCAA-II tournament for the 18th straight year, and the Panthers are 20-17 all-time in the event. Drury has won 10 regional titles with two appearances in the national quarterfinals.
