SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- Drury blanked 20th ranked Washburn 7-0 on Sunday at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield to improve to 2-0 on the season.
 
The Panthers won two of the three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead, then swept all six in singles.
 
Senior Yu-Ning Lee took three sets, but playing in Drury's lead singles position, took down Maria Valverde Soler 3-6, 6-4, 6-2. Viktoriya Zheleva also won in three sets, 7-5, 6-7, 6-3. Alma Abazi won her first set 6-1 and was leading 4-0 in the second when her opponent retired. Maria Espejo, Clara Kuehnle, and Kseniia Eremina all won in two sets.
 
Washburn fell to 1-1 with the loss.
 
Drury returns to action on Friday, Feb. 14, when they host Harding at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
