INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced the league's women's tennis player of the week on March 12. Drury's
Leana Chanove earned the honor for the second time this season.
Chanove went 2-0 last weekend against McKendree. In singles, she won the top line in three sets; the lone set she lost in singles was only the second set she had lost all season, entering the week. In doubles with partner
Franca Piaggi, Chanove won the second line 6-0 over the Bearcats.
The duo of Chanove and Piaggi entered the week 5-0 in doubles.
The honor is Chanove's second career and second of the season. She is the only player in the GLVC to have won more than one game so far this season.
Drury and Chanove finish their spring break trip in New Orleans on March 12 against Dillard.
