KANSAS CITY, Mo.— The Drury Panthers completed their Kansas City road trip 2-0 as they defeated Rockhurst 4-0 on Saturday.
The Panthers improved to 8-3 and 2-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while the Hawks dropped to 3-5 and 1-2 in the league.
Drury opened with a 1-0 as
Alma Abazi and
Nastasia Jedrychowski got a 6-2 win and Maria De La Torre and
Kseniia Eremina picked up a 6-1 victory.
The Panthers got singles wins from
Nastasia Jedrychowski,
Viktoriya Zheleva, and
Kseniia Eremina to win 4-0. Both Zheleva and Eremina both improved to 7-3 in singles play with the win.
Saturday's match was adjusted to a tournament format due to weather conditions.
Drury returns home next Saturday when they host Missouri-St. Louis at the Cooper Tennis Complex at 11 am.
