SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury swept Truman State on Friday as they took every set in a 7-0 win at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
The Panthers improved to 10-4 and 3-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while the Bulldogs fell to 7-7 and 1-4 in the league.
Drury took the first point winning all three doubles matches. The teams of
Alma Abazi and
Nastasia Jedrychowski, and Maria De La Torre and
Kseniia Eremina both won 6-0.
The Panthers won all six singles matches, with three winning by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Jedrychowski swept through her match in the number two slot, as did
Clara Kuehnle at number four as she improved to 10-2 on the season. De La Torre, in the number six post, also won 6-0, 6-0, and the sophomore from Peru kept her record perfect going to 9-0.
Drury returns to the court and will play their final regular season match of 2021 when they host Quincy at 4 pm at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
