KIRKSVILLE, Mo.— The Drury Panthers made quick work of Truman State as they shut out the Bulldogs 7-0 on Saturday in Kirksville, Missouri.
 
Drury ended the regular season 15-2, 5-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and with seven straight wins. Truman State went to 14-8 and 0-5 in the GLVC.
 
The Panthers took a 1-0 lead in the match, winning all three doubles matches. The teams of Alma Abazi/Nastasia Jedrychowski and Maria Espejo/Clara Kuehnle both won 6-1, while the number one doubles team of Kseniia Eremina and Ewe Samberger won their match-up 6-2.
 
Drury then swept all six singles matches, and none of the Panthers dropped a set. Espejo won every game with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Abbi Worster in the number six singles match-up. Kuehnle won 6-0, 6-1 over Kennidy Shirey, and Jedrychowski picked up Drury's clinching point with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Akansha Negi.
 
The Panthers will advance to the Great Lakes Valley Conference that begins on April 29 in St. Louis, Missouri.
