SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drury men's indoor track and field team received a first place vote and is picked to finish eighth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference this season in the league's preseason coaches' poll.
Missouri S&T is picked to win the conference after receiving 10 first-place votes. Lewis is picked to be the runner-up, receiving two first-place votes. Indianapolis was selected to finish third, with Southwest Baptist and William Jewell tied for fourth in the poll. Drury is the other school to receive a first-place vote.
This is the first time that the GLVC has run an indoor track and field preseason poll in conference history.
The Panthers received 69 points and one first-place vote to be picked eighth overall in the poll. Drury finished 11
th last year at the GLVC Championships. The Panthers return six point scorers from last year's championship meet.
