INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced its outdoor track and field preseason polls on Thursday, March 26, with the Drury men's and women's teams slated to finish seventh.
The Drury men were voted seventh out of 13 teams with 69 points. Indoor champions Indianapolis topped the men's poll with 140 points and nine first-place votes. Lewis was the only other school to receive first-place votes, placing second with 136 points and four first-place votes.
The women were voted seventh out of 14 teams with 83 points. Once again, indoor champions Indianapolis led the women's poll with 166 points and 10 first-place votes. Lewis earned the other four first-place votes in second with 159 points.
Drury opened the outdoor season last weekend at the Miner Invitational, hosted by Missouri S&T. The Panthers claimed three first-place finishes, with
Gunner Bradshaw in the high jump (2.03m),
Anna Talbot in the long jump (5.72m), and
Nolan Moeller in the 1,500 meters (3:59.03).
Drury continues the outdoor season at the Bearcat Invitational on Friday, March 27.
