CADDO VALLEY, Ark.— The Drury triathlon team opened the season on Sunday at the DeGray Lake Triathlon in Caddo Valley, Arkansas.
 
Zoe Van Dijk was Drury's top finisher as the senior from The Netherlands finished seventh among 16 entered in the collegiate race. Van Dijk completed the event in 1:06:40.7. Kristina Vestman, a freshman from Sweden, made her collegiate debut in the triathlon and was eighth with a time of 1:08:07.9, while Isabelle Buenting, a senior from Chanhassen, Minn., came in ninth (1:09:21.3).
 
Texas Christian had the top six finishers in Sunday's event.
 
Drury competes again on Sept. 17 at The Battle in the Fort Triathlon hosted by Texas Christian in Fort Worth, Texas.
