DEWITT, Ill. – Drury triathlon won the Prairie State Cup with four Panthers finishing in the top 10.
The Panthers finished first out of 18 teams overall in the 2025 Prairie State Cup. The competition consisted of numerous NCAA Division I, II, and III programs. Drury placed first with a score of 514. University of San Francisco (Division I) placed second with a score of 504, and Colorado Mesa (Division II) finished third with a score of 472.
Eszter Vas was the individual champion of the cup. Vas finished in first with the fastest time in Drury history, 1:02:32, breaking Jayme-Sue Vermaas' record set in 2021.
Alexis Workman finished shortly after in second with a time of 1:03:15.
Kristina Vestman earned a sixth-place finish with her time of 1:04:04.
Mayumi Shinozuka was the fourth Panther in the top 10, placing 10
th with a time of 1:04:15.
Tarryn Brumley rounded out Drury's top five with a 22
nd-place finish with a time of 1:06:05.
HIGHLIGHTS

- Vas set the school record in the sprint race with a final time of 1:02:32.
- Alexis Workman placed second and moved into the second-fastest time in school history with her time of 1:03:15.
- Kristina Vestman set her personal best with a fourth-place finish and time of 1:04:04.
- Vestman is the fourth-fastest all-time.
- Mayumi Shinozuka placed 10th and set her personal best with her time of 1:04:15.
- Shinozuka improved her fifth-fastest time in school history.
- Tarryn Brumley set a new personal best with her time of 1:06:05, finishing 22nd.
- Brumley moved into 7th all-time.
- Cayman Barnes placed 26th (1:07:53) and Shrebi Maharjan placed 30th (1:09:23).
- Barnes moved to the 10th fastest and Maharjan moved to the 14th fastest in school history.
- Tylor Brino-Dean finished 43rd (1:12:04) and Ava Sullivan finished 57th (1:17:28).
- Drury beat four teams ranked ahead
- The meet marked head coach Terry Dean's second competition and first win leading the Panthers.
