SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury triathlon is set to compete in the NCAA West Regional Qualifier in Fort Worth, Texas, on Sunday, Oct. 26, starting at 11:00 a.m.
 
The Panthers enter the postseason ranked 12th nationally across all NCAA Divisions and third in Division II after an impressive regular season.  
 
Drury opened the year at the Duquesne Invitational, where the Panthers placed third overall and first among Division II programs. Three Drury athletes placed in the top 10, with Eszter Vas placing third (1:03:35), Alexis Workman finishing fifth (1:04:14), and Kristina Vestman placing sixth (1:04:43).  
 
The Panthers then won the Prairie State Cup, which featured several top NCAA Division I, II, and III programs. Drury broke multiple program records, including Eszter Vas, who now holds the fastest triathlon time in Drury history (1:02:32). Alexis Workman recorded the second fastest time in school history (1:03:15). Kristina Vestman posted a personal-best 1:04:04, ranking fourth in school history.  
 
The Panthers return to the NCAA West Regional as the defending Division II champions. Last season, Drury placed fifth overall and was first among Division II teams with 478 points. 
 
LOOKING AHEAD
Following the NCAA West Regional Qualifier on Sunday, the Drury triathlon program will compete in the NCAA National Championship on Saturday, Nov. 8, held in Tempe, Ariz.
