CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.— The Drury women's tennis team opened their road trip with a 4-0 loss to 10
th ranked Columbus State on Sunday in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The Panthers fell to 4-3, while the Cougars moved their record to 7-3.
Columbus State took a 1-0 lead after two doubles wins. Drury's number two doubles team, featuring Maria Fernanda De La Torre Ugarte Espejo and
Antanina Novik, battled Yelena Labat and Isadora Oliveira to a 7-6 loss.
The Cougars completed the sweep with three singles win and clinched the match with 41
st ranked Nikoline Gullacksen's 6-2, 6-1 victory over
Alma Abazi.
Drury continues the road trip on Monday with a 10 am (CST) match against eighth-ranked North Georgia.
