SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Both Drury tennis teams and 16 members from the two squads earned academic awards from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The Drury men's and women's teams won an All-Academic Team Award, while eight members from the DU women's team and eight from the Drury men's squad were named Scholar Athletes by the ITA.
Teams with a combined grade point average of 3.2 or above were awarded an All-Academic Team award, and student-athletes with a 3.5 GPA or better earned a Scholar Athlete award from the ITA.
The Drury women's tennis team posted a 3.76 grade point average or 2023-24, the top mark among Drury's official NCAA programs. The DU men's team had a 3.53 GPA, and both teams were honored with a Team Academic All-GLVC award from the Great Lakes Valley Conference earlier this summer.
The Drury women's tennis team ended the season with a 13-7 record and a 5-0 mark in the GLVC's West Division. The men's team went 16-5, 4-0 in the GLVC, and advanced to the NCAA-II Tournament.
