SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drury men's and women's track and field programs are set to compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Outdoor Championships, hosted by Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Missouri, on April 30-May 2.
The Panthers enter the championships following several strong outdoor performances. The men's squad has set seven school records and 33 top-10 marks, while the women's team has broken four school records and tallied 21 top-10 marks.
The men's program is coming off its best conference outdoor finish in the past five seasons, placing seventh out of 14 teams. Tyler Harris earned the Panthers' first outdoor individual title, winning the 10,000 meters (31:10.26). Nolan Moeller was runner-up in the 800 meters (1:53.73).
The women's team placed 13th last season. Lauren Coleman led the Panthers, placing sixth in the 100 meters (11.98) and seventh in the 200 meters (24.65).
Drury will also look to secure qualifying marks for the NCAA Outdoor National Championships. To qualify, an individual must rank among the top 22 declared individuals, while relay teams must rank in the top 16. Nolan Moeller currently owns the 29th-fastest time in the 800 meters (1:49.57), while Cera Eckenroth's ranks 36th nationally in the 5,000 meters (16:52.50).
