Drury Volleyball continued the best start in the program's NCAA-II history with a 3-0 blanking of Indianapolis in Great Lakes Valley Conference play Friday night at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
Drury won by scores of 28-26, 25-15 and 25-22 as Coach
Jenifer Bahner's Panthers moved to 10-2 overall and 2-1 in the GLVC with the victory, DU's best opening to a season through 12 games since Drury also began 10-2 as an NAIA member in 1993. UIndy fell to 4-8 and 2-1.
It also marked the end to an eight-game losing streak to the perennial GLVC power Greyhounds dating back to the 2006 season. Drury has won 18 of its last 23 matches dating back to the middle of the 2014 season under second-year coach Bahner.

Brooke Antenen and
Laynie Timmons had 10 kills each to lead the Panthers, who got a game-high 33 assists from Antenen.
McKenna Poynter led DU with 12 digs while Specht added 10, and Timmons had six blocks, including five assists.
The Panthers will take on Saint Joseph's at 3 p.m. Saturday at the O'Reilly Center. It's also the Second Annual "Parents Night Out" promotion, with parents invited to leave their kids in grades 3-12 after the match with the Panthers and the coaching staff til 9 p.m. for an evening of swimming, pizza and games. Cost is just $3 per kid or a maximum of $5 per family, and families can sign up at the game on Saturday.
