ROME, Ga. - The Drury doubles team of
Sebastien Amato and
Grega Kokalj suffered a 6-3, 6-4 loss in quarterfinal action at the ITA Oracle Cup Nationals on Thursday. Amato and Kokalj, seeded No. 2, fell to Vitor Albanese and Daniel Fernandez of Edinboro.
The tournament represents the winners from each region in NCAA-II with only eight doubles teams from the entire NCAA making it to this elite field.
Amato and Kokalj will play tomorrow at 1:30 in the consolation round vs. Rok Bozic and Diego Pinto from District of Columbia.
Advancing to the semifinals were Jeremiah Gonzalez and Bojan Popovic of St. Mary's, who knocked off top seeded Alejandro Valarezo and Blake Hunter of Washburn. Forth seeded Oliver Frank and Christian Schmid of Azusa Pacific will face them.
In the bottom half of the bracket Abanese and Fernandez of Edinboro will square off against third-seeded KP Pannu and Alvaro Regaldo of Columbus State.
