The 12th-ranked Drury women's tennis team picked up 5-4 win over Oklahoma Baptist on Friday at Cooper Tennis Complex.
The Panthers improved to 5-0 with Oklahoma Baptist falling to 1-1.
In doubles play, Drury dominated at No. 1, winning 8-0, and took No. 3 with a 9-7 victory. Oklahoma Baptist made it a 2-1 match with an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles.
The Panthers needed three wins to seal the match and the first win came at No. 1 by Larissa Karl 6-4,6-2 over Kim Moosbacher. A 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles by Viktoriya Zheleva over Tahlia Walsh put the Panthers to within a point of the win, but OBU tied it up at 4 all. Coming through for the Panthers was Svea Voigt at No. 6 with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Caroline Abbe.
On February 18, Drury will host Lindenwood at Cooper Tennis Complex with match time set for a 10:15 a.m. start.
