ST. LOUIS, Mo.– The Drury women's tennis team opened their Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule with a 7-2 win over Maryville on Friday at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis.
 
The 14^th ranked Panthers improved to 10-1 and 1-0 in the GLVC. Maryville fell to 6-4 and 0-1 in the league.
 
Drury won all three doubles matches with Larissa Karl /Josephine Jedrychowski along with JiaQing Mo / Julia Schepp both winning 8-1.
 
Karl won her singles match in three sets over Sarah Etter 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 and Jedrychowski, Mo, and Schepp all followed with singles wins. Maryville's only points came in the fifth and sixth singles positions.
 
The Panthers return to action tomorrow when they take on the University of Missouri-St. Louis at 11 a.m. in St. Louis.
