SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- Drury advanced to the finals of the NCAA-II Midwest Region #2 bracket with a 5-0 win over Grand Valley State on Monday at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
 
The 20th ranked Panthers improved to 19-4 and will play Ferris State at 4 p.m. on Tuesday in Springfield for the right to advance to the round of 16 at the NCAA-II national championship site in Surprise, Arizona.
 
The Lakers ended their season with a record of 15-9.
 
Drury seized a 3-0 lead after doubles. Leonardo Cerri and Sebastien Amato rallied to defeat Drew Coleman and Sebastien Lescoulie 8-6 to cap a Panthers sweep in doubles.
 
Augustin Diot registered Drury's first singles win with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Nicholas Urban. Paul Porcher then clinched the match winning 6-3, 7-5 over Marcus Muniz.
 
Ferris State (21-2), ranked 19th in NCAA-II, defeated Northwood 5-1 to advance to Tuesday's match.
 
Drury is in the NCAA-II tournament for the 19^th consecutive year. Last season, Drury advanced to the national quarterfinals.
