SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– The 14th ranked Drury Panthers won their Senior Day game with a 5-0 win over Rockhurst on Saturday at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
 
Drury improved to 13-1 and 4-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference while Rockhurst dropped to 9-6 and took their first conference loss to fall to 3-1 in the league.
 
The Panthers started with three doubles wins and senior Larissa Karl, who missed yesterday's match against William Jewell, returned with a pair of wins. Karl and doubles partner Chung-Yen Huang defeated Anilu Barraza and Samantha Czarnecki 8-3, then Karl won her singles match over Czarnecki 6-2, 6-1.
 
Karl, the team's lone senior, improved to 9-2 in singles this season with her win. She is currently ranked 15^th nationally in Division II singles play.
 
Drury plays again on Tuesday at 12^th ranked Southwest Baptist. The match begins at 2 p.m. in Bolivar.
