7/22/2022 3:55:00 PM

The Drury Dozen is an annual list of our favorite moments of the year from Drury Athletics. The list is not necessarily the most significant events but the special games and moments we will always associate with 2021-22.

We'll provide honorable mention selections later in the countdown, but, for now, here is our sixth entry from 2021-22:

#7 – Peter Kuster finishes seventh at NCAA-II National Championship

March 12, 2022 – St. Louis, Mo
Peter Kuster posted the best finish in program history at the NCAA-II National Championships for a Drury wrestler as he came in seventh in the 141-pound weight class.

The junior from Jefferson City qualified for the national meet for the third straight season after finishing second at the Midwest SuperRegional on Feb. 26, then reached nationals and won two of his three matches on day one. Kuster won his seventh-place match by Fall in 2:16 to earn Drury's best placement ever at the national championship.

Kuster reached nationals in 2020, but the event was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. He went 1-2 in the national championship in 2021.
