SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drury wrestling team ended play in the Great Lakes Valley Conference on Saturday splitting a pair of duals at Weiser Gym. The Panthers lost to fifth ranked Wisconsin-Parkside 36-3 but ended the day with a 23-18 win over Truman State.
 
Wisconsin-Parkside earned the GLVC title winning their first dual, 48-6, over Truman State before defeating Drury to complete the conference season undefeated at 6-0.
 
The Panthers earned points against the Rangers with Ben Stalhman's win in the 149-pound class. Stahlman defeated Derek Gil 3-2 in Drury's lone win of the dual.
 
Drury bounced back to defeat Truman State 23-18 in a dual decided in the final match. Trailing by a point, 18-17, heavyweight Ben Melton pinned Austin Dovin in 4:37 to give the Panthers the win. Drury's John Oss (184) won by technical fall over Jules Joseph, 16-1, in 2:13, and Stahlman earned his second win of the day with a pin of Drew Rentschler in 1:32.
 
The Panthers end their regular season on Feb. 9 at Ouachita Baptist. The dual starts at 5 p.m. in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
