Drury Dozen- the top 12 moment's of '18-19: #6- Lady Panthers 3-Peat as GLVC champs

During the next several weeks, Drury Athletics will reveal the Drury Dozen – over favorite 12 moments from the 2018-19 sports season. The list was voted on by members of the Drury University athletics staff and others that covered DU Athletics.

The list on this countdown does not reflect the most significant moments from the year, although the magnitude of the game or event certainly played a part in our decision.

Ultimately, these were our favorite moments from the previous year and the ones that we will likely always associate with the 2018-19 Drury sports season.

#6 – Lady Panthers win their third straight GLVC title
With everything they accomplished in 2018-19, the Lady Panthers historic three-peat as Great Lakes Valley Conference champions may get overlooked.

Drury won the title game by a sizable margin over Bellarmine, so the contest itself didn't provide much drama. And then the event got a little tainted when this happened, but cutting down the nets again proved satisfying as the program added to their collection on trophies.

They also made history on March 10, 2019, as Drury became the first team ever in GLVC women's basketball history to win three straight championships. At the same time, they were there first team in the conference to complete an undefeated regular season and win the league tournament in the same year. In nearly 40 years of league history, both feats are noteworthy as the GLVC has proven to be one of the top conferences in NCAA-II year after year.

The win kept Drury's record perfect as they improved to 31-0 and ended up being another highlight with more accomplishments for the Lady Panthers still to come.
