The Drury Dozen is an annual list of our favorite moments of the year from Drury Athletics. The list is not necessarily the most significant events, but the special games and moments that we'll always associate with 2019-20.
Â
The most significant moment, obviously, came on Mar. 11 when the sports world stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That halt robbed us of games and accomplishments that would have likely taken up several spots on this list.Â
Â
We can take pride in the fact, however, that even though the year was cut short, what happened between Sept. 1, 2019, and Mar. 10, 2020, provided so many great moments in a variety of sports that it was still difficult to trim the list to just 12.Â

#2- Bailee Nunn wins her 14th NCAA-II championship
Â
March 10, 2020 – Spire Institute Aquatic Center-- Geneva, Ohio
Â
We didn't know it at the time, but it would be the last official sporting event for Drury Athletics in 2019-20…and swimming great
Bailee Nunn added another title to her illustrious career.
Â
On the first night of the NCAA-II swimming & diving national championship in Geneva, Ohio, the senior from Marshfield, Missouri took the national championship in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 22.36 winning the event by 0.12 seconds. Nunn set the national record in the 50 Free as a freshman, but 2020 marked her first national title in that event.
Â
Nunn's 14 national titles came in nine different events that included freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly and individual medleys. Three national championships came in relays.
