Annie Armstrong was an honorable mention All-American as a senior for the Lady Panthers, an All-Midwest Region selection, and a two-time First Team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honoree. In three years at Drury (2013-16), she ended her career ranked 11th on the program's all-time scoring list with 1,179 points, and her career free throw percentage of .938 still ranks the best in program history. She led the nation in free-throw shooting in her junior and senior seasons, and she exited Drury as the program's all-time leader in field goal percentage (.457), while also sixth in three-pointers made (159) and assists (302).

The product of Springfield-Kickapoo HS started her collegiate career at Eckhard College in Florida before transferring to Drury as a sophomore. In her senior year, Armstrong helped the Lady Panthers to a 26-5 record and an appearance in the NCAA-II Midwest Regional finals. Drury was 26-4 and GLVC champions in her junior campaign. They posted a 27- 4 mark, were Midwest Region champions, and reached Elite Eight in her sophomore season of 2013-14.
