A native of Marionville, Missouri, Ted Young’s heroics at the NAIA National Tournament have become almost legendary.  His last second shots over Westmond and UW-Stevens Point (and NBA-bound Terry Porter) still provide fond memories in the minds of the Drury faithful.  Ted holds the Drury career record for most starts with 127 and his 240 assists in 1984-85 are the most ever by a Panther for a season.  He ranks second all-time with 774 career assists and is seventh all-time in scoring with 1,780 points.  Ted earned second team All-American NAIA honors in 1987 and was honorable mention pick in 1986. He was also a three-time All-District 16 honoree earning first team honors in 1986.
