Following his brother to Drury, Virgle Fredrick was inducted into the Drury Hall of Fame in 1970.  Coming to Drury from Springfield Parkview High School, Fredrick played on three MCAU Conference Championship teams.  Virgle was named to All-Conference and All-District teams each of his last three seasons and was named to the All-American third team as a sophomore and junior.  He was a second team All-American as a senior.  In 1968 he was selected for the United States Olympic Trials and upon his graduation he was drafted by both the NBA Milwaukee Bucks and ABA Utah Stars.  He is sixth all-time in scoring with 1,794 points.  He also ranks seventh all-time for points in a season with 612 in 1967-68.
