David Aniot graduated from Druryon May 10, 1998 with a degree in business administration and a minor in mathematics. He left the Drury campus as one of the top swimmers to have ever competed for the Panthers. A native of Budapest, Hungary, David was the Most Valuable Swimmer at the 1995 and 1998 NCAA-II national swimming/diving championships and he earned NCAA-II All-America honors all four years he was at Drury. The Panthers, as a team, finished second in the nation in 1997 and 1998 after claiming third place in 1995 and 1996. David came to Drury after his senior year at Chouteau (Okla.) High School where was an exchange student. Upon his arrival on the Drury campus in the fall of 1994 he soon established himself as one the best in Drury swimming history and in the NCAA-II. Primarily a breaststroke specialist David set Drury records his freshman year in the 100 and 200 breast and claimed both titles at the NCAA-II national meet. He would go on to win the NCAA-II national title in the 100 breast the next three years while also claiming national titles in the 200 IM in 1996, 1997 and 1998. He won the title in the 200 breast his senior yearand was part of three national championship relay teams. David was also an Academic All-American and graduated from Drury with a 3.293 grade point average. His junior year he carried a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
