Dan Cashel was part of the Drury Community from 1974-2020, with 34 years as a full-time member of the Panther Athletics Department (1977-2010). His 46-year Drury career included a three-year stint in the Admissions Office, beginning in 1974, and concluding with nine years in which he served as Drury's Director of Campus Recreation. He originally served as sports information director, tennis coach, and intramural director (1977). In 1982 he was named assistant athletic director while still serving as SID until 2005. From 1991-2010 his duties included being the program's first Director of Compliance as the Panthers moved from the NAIA to its current membership in the NCAA-II.
