Bill Harding, ranks sixth all-time for wins by a Drury coach with a 119-44 record over six years from 1965-1971. Following his Drury coaching career Harding served as athletic director from 1971-77. Before he stepped down from the coaching post he had outdistanced everyone but A.L. Weiser in total victories and MCAU Conference victories as he owned five of the nine MCAU Championships won by Drury.  Harding won 65 out of 74 games on his home court.   He never lost a home conference game and had two perfect seasons on the Drury floor.  His 1968 team advanced to the NAIA quarterfinals before
dropping a two-point decision and his last two teams in 1970 and 1971 also reached the national tournament. A native of Nixa, Missouri, Harding played his college basketball at Drury under Weiser and lettered all four years.  He graduated in 1954 and received his master's degree from Drury in 1964.
